This is one of our few square shaped tabletops. We used a special craquele glaze for the ceramic tiles to achive this old fashioned and used look. The chess like arranged yellow and white tiles are surrounded by small unglazed terracotta tiles. The unglazed tiles are coated with a mixture of natural oil and wax to protect the surface against liquids and dirt. The edges of this mosaik tabletop are protected by a frame of solid wrought and scorched iron.
